Accidental Expansion Show
Market day was the best. The usually drab town burst into a hive of activity and colour. Whether it was the main street or tiny alleyways, stalls and shoppers filled every possible space. There was even a large wooden stage in the central square where performers could show off their routines. Certain acts managed to rise to fame just from strutting their stuff in front of the locals; you never know who’ll be watching in the crowd after all.
Happily soaking in the atmosphere was Lala. No one batted an eye at her flamboyant pink latex leotard, matching boots, and shock of feathers splaying out from the back. Entertainers were always out on mass during market days. She was feeling extra bouncy today, due to having secured her very first performance on the main stage. With the time left before her slot, she’d decided to search for a little pre-dance present from the surrounding stalls.
Just as she was about to give up and head over to the stage early, a small jewellery st
